Meet Our Team of Professional Jewelers

Meet the members of the Anspach’s Jewelry team and learn what drew them to working at Anspach’s as well as what they do with their free time!

Graig

Before entering the jewelry industry, I graduated at Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science degree studying biology. Eventually, this led to me working with the Forest Service, BLM, and Bureau of Indian Affairs on reservations throughout North and South Dakota. My early interests in rock collecting, art, and geology later became a natural foundation for my career in fine jewelry. My connection to the industry began through my parents, Glen and Dee Anspach. Anspach’s Jewelry was founded in 1955. After my father’s passing in 1983, my mother and I continued operating the store together.

Ty

I’m Ty Kuppinger, co-owner and jeweler at Anspach’s, and I’ve been crafting custom jewelry since 1997. I was born in Boulder, moved to Joseph, Oregon, and then returned to Colorado in 1997, where I began working with my uncle Graig at my grandparents’ jewelry store. Over the years, I’ve built my career through hands-on experience and dedication to the craft, eventually becoming co-owner of Anspach’s. I take pride in my reputation for quality craftsmanship, custom design, and attention to detail in every piece I create.

Ahnun

I’ve been at Anspach’s for over a decade. I started as an apprentice and have grown into a professional bench jeweler, trained in goldsmithing, stone setting, design, and a wide range of jewelry repair skills. I take pride in my craft and always bring a big personality into the shop. At home, I spend most of my time with my wife—we’ve been together for 16 years and married for 7—along with our three children, Enzo, Penelope, and Clementine, who keep me busy 99% of the time.

Matthew

My passion for jewelry started long before I began making it professionally over 10 years ago. I was fascinated by nature, collecting rocks and crystal specimens as a child, which naturally grew into a love for art and design. Throughout middle and high school, I explored painting, photography, pottery, graphite sketches, and other creative outlets. Along with custom jewelry design, I also specialize in faceting gemstones, custom engraving, and creating my own jewelry lines. Outside of the studio, I enjoy time in nature, rock climbing, riding motorcycles, seeing live music, and playing mandolin in my bluegrass band, Extra Gravy. I was raised in Hollis, New Hampshire, and at 32, I can’t wait to see how my career in jewelry continues to grow.

Tamara

I have 7 years of experience in the jewelry industry and a background in glass art, where I have made jewelry in the past. I’m passionate about geology. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my granddaughter Maeve. I’m an avid gardener and grow my own vegetables and flowers. I also like playing golf every weekend.

Maddie

I was raised in Lafayette, Colorado, and have always appreciated the outdoors and the energy of the Denver area. I have a strong interest in cars and enjoy getting into the mountains whenever I can. When I’m not working, I’m usually exploring new food spots or checking out live concerts around the city. I like staying active, trying new things, and making the most of everything Colorado has to offer. I am the 4th generation working at Anspachs.

Silvana

I’ve lived in several countries (Colombia, Spain, France, Italy, and the UK), which shaped how I connect with different people and styles. I started in culinary and worked in Michelin-star restaurants before moving into jewelry, where I enjoy hearing the stories behind each piece. I also just got my esthetician license and plan to pursue that on the side.

Rebecca

I’m a Colorado State University hospitality graduate with a background in agriculture, where I raised 4H show goats. I’ve worked in luxury fine dining and resorts, and I now oversee our company’s social media. I’m passionate about animals, gemstones, and watches, with a lifelong interest in rocks and fossils. Eventually I would like to open up my own craft cocktail bar.
