Wedding Ring Sets
Traditionally, wedding ring sets, are comprised of an engagement ring and a matching wedding ring. Sometimes a person will choose to “sandwich” their engagement ring, between two, like wedding rings. At a later date, after many years of marital bliss, even stack an anniversary ring, or even rings, to celebrate a milestone.
Wedding ring sets can also mean matching rings that are identical but perhaps scaled a little different to account for the difference in finger sizes and proportions. One of our more challenging projects was to match a lost custom branch motif wedding ring, from an old wedding photograph. As you can imagine, trying to duplicate something that small from a picture, was no easy task. The customer was very satisfied with his new, duplicated, ring.
Matching bands, for couples, were popular in the 60’s and 70’s, and we are seeing a slight resurgence in customers requesting a matching set of rings. Normally, a matching set involves taking a feature from a partner’s band and incorporating it into the second ring. The rings do not match exactly, but when one looks at the two together a similarity can be seen.
